Herb Toasted Walnuts
Need a way to step up your salad game? I am addicted to these herb toasted walnuts! They take 5 minutes or less to make and they’re great in salads or just as a snack. I’ve been playing with all sorts of combos in my head too so you might see something similar in the future, with just the slightest twist.
I have a printable recipe card below, but really you don’t need it. These are so fast, so easy, so few ingredients, they can easily become a staple in your salads.
Start with a small skillet. Drizzle just about a teaspoonful of olive oil, toss in a large handful of walnuts, sprinkle with some dried herbs and salt. That’s it! Stir it around while it toasts, but not long enough to burn. It takes me about 3 minutes to get to the stage I like. Seriously. You’re done!
I used dried thyme and Herbes de Provence in this batch, but I’ve used other herbs before too. Feel free to get creative!
I’m experimenting with different flavor profiles for these. I’d love to know what type of nuts you like in your salad. Leave me a comment to let me know!
