It’s Garden Season – And A Summer Produce Recipe Round-Up!

It’s the most wonderful time of the year! (Ok, I might have several favorite times of the year). But garden season is what the rest of my year revolves around. The garden is going in right now, a little slower than I’d like due to storms, but things are beginning to grow.

Recently I vowed to myself to share more of my garden and homestead chores in my blog. Most of what I plan to eat and things I create include my home grown produce or my home preserved produce, so I wanted to make that connection more often in this space. If that sounds good to you, let me know in the comments!

What you can expect this summer on the blog:

–A lot more garden fresh recipes! I am working on a new seasonal eating cookbook and I have a lot of ideas I want to try this summer. I’ll be posting some of those here!

–More garden updates! Not a ton, because this is more of a recipe blog, but still some updates with connections to recipes.

Are you one of those people who wants MORE garden updates than the few that will be here on the blog?

There are a few ways to see what’s going on more often, including even more recipes I make!

1 – My YouTube channel! I bet you didn’t know I had one. :). That’s because I haven’t really been connecting it to this blog. On my channel, Plow and Pantry, I garden, cook, and do food preservation. If you’re interested in those, head on over! I post a few times a week and you can see the garden grow in almost real time.

2- My Instagram – On my IG account I post almost daily ‘harvest baskets’ during the main garden season. I also occasionally share more personal stories and other recipes over there.

3- Facebook – Facebook is kind of a catch all with blog links, recipe shares from other people, and part of my IG feed.

While I wait impatiently for my garden to grow and try new ideas and recipes, let’s take a look back at some of my favorite summer produce recipes here on the blog!

One of my personal favorites, and only 5 simple ingredients – Yellow Wax Beans With Pancetta

Easy Blackberry Syrup!

Creamy Cucumber Dill Dressing – the cucumbers get blitzed up right into the dressing and it makes for a refreshing change from regular ranch.

If you want more vegetable recipes, don’t forget about my cookbook!

PS- You’ll see a blank recipe card at the bottom of this post because I don’t have a specific single recipe for this post but my formatting makes me have the recipe card. ;). Just ignore it.
